Will Sandy | Design Studio is a collaborative and collective multi-disciplinary studio covering all areas of design with a foundation in landscape architecture.

The practice works across various sites, scales & styles, from furniture design and urban interventions, to small-scale architectural projects. We deliver schemes for the public sector, local government and for private clients.

Reframe

Humour, playfulness and imagination are key throughout the design process, placing spaces and ideas firmly in the public eye — and into use, engendering ownership and agency from the start.

Firstly, we are pragmatic in our approach, investigating sites, carrying out due diligence to reduce risk. Secondly, we will push the boundaries, stretching the limits to ensure whatever the project is, it creates maximum impact for all involved.

Breaking down barriers

We start every project with a question. Often asking ‘What if?’ – we explore outside the box, the site red line or sometimes the client or community's comfort zone to see what is possible.

We follow with ‘Why not?’ – just because it isn’t the traditional way or hasn’t been done before doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.
